Default Crowded Airspace

These were resting in a farmer's field up in the Matanuska Valley today getting ready for the next leg of their migration. Something spooked them. Perhaps the eagle that flew over. Snow Geese, Lesser Canada Geese, and Pintails.

JJ, it really is special to witness. They don't get up and go much because it takes energy and the purpose for the stop is to rest up for the rest of their journey. After I walked back to my vehicle and let my dogs out, quite a few more large groups moved in to where there were actually more than there were in this shot. Something spooked them again and they took off and made several laps around the field before settling in again. Noisy is another word that comes to mind.
