There's a lot of boaters in DC so the birds are not afraid of people getting close to them on the river

Very nice. Comparing the in flight shot to the standing shot it's amazing how it can tuck it's neck into itself.

Thank you - I think their neck is like the GBH and can fold over like a Z, but also spring straight out to capture a fish
