Caught this guy working a pine tree

thanks! I was actually really lucky as I had just pulled out the camera walked around the corner and saw him right there 10 feet away and I had the 70-300mm on and camera set to shutter priority 1/500... being an avid wildlife shooter I usually leave my kit in this setup jic

I got about 10 shots off as he moved about before he took off with this being the only keeper.

I guess it always pays to be patient and prepared, but it is even better to be lucky.
