As most of you know I'm a fan of the Bigma, but my D300 went kaput a few weeks ago.
This is the newer version for Canon with OS and all... I'm impressed! -> The latest Sigma 50-500mm is super fast and extremely quiet. i.e. I can't hear any noise at all coming from either its AF or IS like on the 100-400L or buzzing from the Nikkor 400 f/2.8 VR. The zoom ring is also super tight (may be because it's new): ![]() Who say one needs a tripod for HDR? ![]() ![]() ... BIF : ![]() ![]() ![]() ... and others: ![]() ![]()

I'm impressed too! Love the cormorant and osprey, and really love the serenity of the turtle shot.

Thank you
I just want to illustrate how flexible this lens is over my other prime, especially on a kayak!

Very nice shots. Glad to hear that you got yourself a new nice big lens. Fast accurate focusing from a super zoom lens such as that is very impressive.
Enjoy it, and Im looking forward to seeing more shots like these.
