Default Colourful Raptor

Can never get close to these much out in the field. A male American Kestrel which is our smallest falcon. These were shot from the living room while sitting in the La'z boy. (sorry about the perch)

Man, those are beautiful. I have the same problem. They never sit still long enough for a good shot. Can I borrow your La'z boy or maybe I should get one of my own.

Nice shots.

Beautiful shots, especially #2!!

I was once trying to photograph one (no, I can never get close enough either), when it flew directly at me, landed about a foot away from my toes to grab a lizard and flew away. It all happened in about 1/2 a second. It was all a blue blur.
