Default Long-billed Curlew Photos

From a shoot yesterday. The primary target was Sandhill Cranes, but these Curlews were in pretty close so they became fair game as well.

Thanks for looking, Steve

Female Curlew. The bill is about 20-30% longer than the male.

Two Curlews. This female was psychotic. Any time a male would land in the area she would vigorously chase them away. Very territorial.

Very nice. Hard to pic a fave here, but would have to say that last one with the wing placement showing the beautiful patterning, and that lovely contrasting sky really makes this one "POP". Very well done.
