We are very fortunate to have around 8 merlins hanging around this winter. They have a very predictable pattern as to when they want to be photographed.

Thank you everyone. The moon shot is one of my faves. The merlin was in a different tree when we found it. I kindly asked it to move to another tree so I could get it with the moon in the background. A few minutes later it flew over to the other tree, let me get the shots, and then flew back where it was to start with. I guess it was in a good mood that day
