One of the fawns from spring showing the pedicels that will provide the base from which the antlers will grow in the future. At this time they are called button bucks. BTW that is his mom.

wow JJ your deer shots are always great but this is exceptional because of the scene.
I can almost hear the son saying "awh mom stop it" as she grooms him! Was this shot with the FZ35? I am really really considering swapping my long lenses for the E-PL2 for a FZ200 and keep the E-PL2 for shorter prime lens shooting. I hate to get two cameras but everything I see from the FZ series shows it is a superb choice for wildlife.
