Default Trumpeter Swans

Came across this fellow on full alert. Oddly enough, he didn't pay me or the car much attention, but stayed focused on something deeper into the marsh.


And...not far away, this young lady was feeding, as her mate stood watch.



Notice the wave coming off her left front. She was stomping her feet back and forth on the bottom to loosen more vegetation.

A little way down the road this swan took a less than elegant pose, that swans are usually known for. He's seems to be laying claim to the muskrat lodge. Don't know what the muskrats will have to say about that.
