Default Peregrine falcon catches lunch

Had another spectacular day at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge today.
This was probably my favorite shot of the day. I was shooting flight shots of Snow geese when I looked up and spotted this Peregrine returning to a Cottenwood tree with something in it's talons. I am pretty sure it's either a hen or immature drake Bufflehead duck.
Thanks for looking,
Steve

enter this in the POTD - should be a sure winner. It is also a natural for the biweekly shootout (speed/motion).

Thanks for the high praise. I think I will give the POTD contest a go.
