Default Under the golden light

I went out to take these pictures late this afternoon (around 3:30pm). The sunlight was changing into golden color. At times it confuses me in the ID of some birds who look very similar in color, However, the golden hour gives the pictures a different look. I am not sure that the last picture is a Clark's Grebe. I would think that it is a Clark's Grebe based on the orange color of the bill.

The grebe is a Western. The eye is completely surrounded in black and the bill is yellow-green, not orange.
