Default A Day at the local zoo for practice - 12 pics

Despite a cloudy day, it was uncommonly warm, so off to the zoo to get some 10D practice using ONLY the Sigma 50-500. I also only used either hand-held or balance points, no tripod. These are just some examples (not necessarily the best/my favs, etc - like the Prairie Dog Butt shot, just had to add that). None are 100% crops, though they are downsized. The Rhino horn at 100% has incredible detail, I thought. Hope this isn't too much:

now if these were taken in the "wild" the would be in National Geographic or something!

Another Snowy Owl. You are all trying to torture me!!!

Nice stuff. Very nice. We don't have a very good zoo up here, makes me wish I did.
