Default short-eared owl in some nice light...

took a little drive this afternoon to a spot where i'd heard owls were about... the rumors were true, and of course the place was swarming with photographers... flat, open, marshy field, much better suited for someone with a 500mm lens and a 2x converter, but even with my li'l ol' 400, i managed a few shots... here's a short-eared owl perched on a post in some very pretty light... 7D, 400mm, 1/2500 @ f/7.1

Very nice shot even if you only had 400mm of reach. Where is this? I have yet to get a single owl shot outside of a zoo.
