You have photographed what's called a Rufus-collared Sparrow. And it is an adult.

This winter was kind of harsh, so I ended up indoor doing mostly studio shoots... until this long weekend trip to Costa Rica

We went into the cloud forest in a 4WD vehicle chasing the resplendent quetzal (and other birds) for about 5-days: Quetzal ;)
