Default Amerwing Dragonfly in my friend's backyard

There are very few birds and waterfowls left in my neighborhood. Luckily I found an Amberwing Dragonfly in my friend's backyard.

I really like the first and last shots the best due to the shadows cast by the sunlight passing through the wings.

Rocky, you are correct about the ID of this Dragonfly. The fire red color of the Cardinal Meadowhawk is indeed more colorful and intense than the Amberwing. Thanks!

Beautiful shots. Actually, I believe it's a Flame Skimmer. They are bigger than the Cardinals and have more color in their wings that fades at the tips.
Really nice captures non the less.

Cheers
