Andy, this one is cute indeed. I'm jealous, leaves are starting to grow on your trees, here it's still in sleep mode

Nice shot !

Very nice. I've never seen any of the birds in that family. Its a pity you didn't hit it with a little fill flash, but knowing you and digiscoping this bird could have been too far away.

It's been awhile since you've been around... nice to have you back. I hope you post more.

oh nice
i like the little leaves in the shot....gives a good feeling of spring

i guess it could use some lighting on the lower part of it....but i don't think it is bad how it is.....i'm not very good or experienced with bird photography....

I don't see anything technically wrong, but even more importantly, this sure is a creative photograph. There's this incredible 'Z' formed by the bird's long tail and the branch on which it's perched. Oh and the focus--it's absolutely crystal clear.

oh wow! thanks for pointing that out! that is awesome!
that is actually something i'm starting to learn.....seeing lines and shapes...and learning how they guide your eyes around the photo.....

Beautiful pose...Are you sure the bird isn't stuffed? (just kidding). Also perfect background.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated.
Eric: Actually this wasn't digiscoped, though even flash with digiscoping at distance isn't a great problem using a fresnal screen.
I'd like to say that I carefully planned for the geometric Z pattern....but of course I'd be lying , I'll save this shot for one of those photographic competitions where you have to find letters of the alphabet in the photo.
Regards,
Andy
