Eric, you're developing quite the collection of these twitter-critters. At the rate you're going, you could end up with a book of them, complete with your excellent captions.

Hehe Barbara, lets say I'm having a revenge over the winter we had, where I could only see few species. So now I'm having big time fun watching these.

I got even more taken today, I'll post process them and will post in this trend.

Cheers !

I love this one, birds make great photos if you get them right.

Nice shot.

Er - your title's amusing but you do realise I assume that the one on the right is a fledgling demanding lunch and the one on the left a parent who's just arrived to feed him?

Hehe ccomley, I have to say that I watched these little ones last week and it's actually mating season for them, I saw them mate :O, not these though it's impossible to tell who's who.

On the other hand... Males are constantly following female all over. So while trying to catch them, I followed their pattern and it goes like this ;

Female so beautiful they are constantly look somewhere to take a pause of the tenious day of living. Mr Swallow constantly follows Misses, Miss find a nice spot on the branch, she's all fine.... sun is shinning, life is good. Mr arrives, he's about 2 feet from her, he looks, she looks, nothing happens... he moves slowly towards her on the branch, until he's close enough so hegets herattention... He turns and ... She turnsand... All of sudon, the peacefull moments ends :P, and she lets know Mr , that she already mate with someone else (this partcomes from my imagination), maybe she already mated with him (I do not know ).

Your scenario is plausible, but we're in the end of April and there's no nest ready yet :lol:. To conclude, there's man made bird house all over that refuge area to accomodate them, and I've seen them preparing the nest, but at that point, the mating is not over yet.

This is a true story of life of Tree Swallow

Cheers

Just to add.. hehe here's 2 more shots showing more of the story :

(the one on the right) : "I can't hear ya, what ur saying ?"

And...

(the one on the left, female) "I'm not talking to you anymore"

Voila
