oh wow...weird looking! he have stuff in his cheeks or something? it looks like it! his head looks WAAAY too big to be normal....lol

Yes Vito, he fills his cheeks and when he's happy, he goes to burry them and comes back again. When I caught him like this, I was laughing big time, hehe

that's hilarious.....you must have a blast out there taking pictures.....all your great swallow shots and titles!

good stuff....



we have chipmunks aroung my house.....i should just hang out outside for a while....maybe i'll get some birds come within 20 feet of me (they can't get any farther lol....then i won't be able to get them..haha....i only have my 4.75x optical..and that's with my teleconverter...i do have the 3.6x digital though :-\

Is that a Chipmunk or a Golden Mantle Ground Squirrel? The Chipmunk is the smaller of the two.

Vito, I use a hunters blind to get them close to me (at home at least, not in the wild). In the wild I use other tactics, like laying on a tree , standing still until something comes out.

how long do you normally spend in the blind?

i don't have a dSLR or a big lens....so they'd have to be REALLY close for it to work for me...lol...
