Very nice indeed Eric, you really dig that one out. What I like is the fact that you had this intention to produce this. Again nice shot

I go to a photo sharing club ever month. Most are much better than me, but they also shoot very different subjects (industrial, scenic landscapes, warn down building.) It's inspiring to see how they work a subject and find something worthy within. One new woman showed some pictures from an assignment. It was to work a single subject from multiple angles. Really try to see what it held. That inspired me here.

I shot about 30-35 pictures of this frog. Trying different apertures (i.e. for different depth of field) and continued to get lower and lower. Then I finally saw that from slightly to the right (and slightly in the water!) I could get a clean shot that was really low. This shot is the best of the bunch (better color &light with good DOF.) It is so much better than the others it's a text book example of getting to the same level as the subject.

There are days I think I should buy the Canon 180 macro. I don't often shoot things other than bird, but when I do I usually find it very satisfying.

I don't recall if that is really what his nose looked like, but you did a really really good job removing that hot spot. Very well done.
