Default DamselFly, Beetles Doin' It: D60

These were both taken with the 100-400 with extension tubes.

During early August in Maine, every wild rose flower has the petals eaten away by these pretty beetles. All they do is eat and "the nasty."

Great shots Walter, really nice color, great DOF with the blurred backgrounds, but a little to much detail on the second shot.:P

Thanks, Brooks.

I thought about masking off the background in the second shot and slightly darkening the high spots, and possibly adding some blur. My other thught was to crop more tightly. Problem is that I have so many good images from my trip that I would never leave the computer if I did everything to every image. When I choose those I want to print out, I will make final adjustments.

I don't think any of us have enough time. I'm with you, fix the ones that you want to print, and maybe a few special ones to post. I might have time for that.
