I was at an "environmental" center at my local reservior...and there wasa telescope pointed directly at a nest of ospreys, so i pointed my G2 balanced on the eyepiece, and took a couple...

here is the best one..

this is more for documentation and the action you see than for the sharpness and quality of the shot lol

enjoy

Vito, shame its not sharper really. What kind of telescope was it ? Make, type ? You there's a special bracket that exist where you attach the lens of your camera and center this to the eyepiece of the telescope.

That's how I took my shots of the moon before.

Cheers

If it's like the one I tried to do that with, it's a very large, almost industrial-looking telescope, one that's made to sit outside in the weather and not be any worse off for it. I don't have a clue how you'd attach your cam to the one I tried, I couldn't see any way possible. For what it's worth, Vito, your shots came out a little better than mine did. Not bad, actually.

hey guys...thanks for the reply....i actually sharpened this one quite a lot, and it would look 4x worse if it were any bigger...lol

it looks halfway decent when it's small lol

i don't know wat make or model it was....it was more of a binocular/telescope set up than anything, like it looked like the one half of a big set of binoculars....it was 8 inches long...i think....

the birds were REALLY far away...i wasn't expecting much...but i liked the action in this shot....

thanks for posting!
