Eric,

Thanks so much for the info on lighting and metering.

The exposures on your birds and the colors are amazing.

I didn't know there were those subtleties of color on a dove.

Last evening I had an opportunity with some Kingbirds high in a tree and bright sky behind and I tried metering on the tree below the without the sky and they came out pretty good. Your suggestion of metering on the tree works well.

I will take notes on your info on metering vs the color of bird and put that info to good use.

Really appreciate your patience, I have only been at this a month and my pictures appear to be getting better thanks to much of the info the folks at this site have been kind enough to share and just having such great examples to look at to see how they are supposed to look.

Eric, as others have stated your great work with birds surely deserves to be published somewhere. I bet you have a million of them.
