Got this picture while out photographing some plants and experimenting with the cameras self timer. Well worth the time to photogragh.

Not a bad capture at all James! Were you really that close? The photo is a bit soft and probably could benefit from a little bit of sharpening in one of the image editing programs. Did she bolt after she saw you?

Nicely done. The Deer around here have gotten very used to people (probably too much so) but they'd still bold if I got that close.

thanks for the comments. The deer stayed there for about 20 seconds and went back to grazing. She is Morgan's deer. Morgan started petting her as a fawn and this year that same deer came back.
I think the deer earned Morgans trust. We call the deer Pretzal because as a fawn that what we were reminded of. Them spots were like salt grains.
Probably the only deer so far that hasnt eaten my tiger lillies.
