I went to a new place today in order to see if I could find a new bird. I did, it's called a beaver. He and his mate were too busy chopping and hauling to be bothered by me. I did find an Eastern Kingbird at this location and I'll be posting them.

Nice shots, Norm. Also, good for you for id'ing these as beaverbirds. Too bad their wings are below the surface of the water, though! :-)

Looking forward to the Eastern Kingbird pictures...

Normcar I still think you must have some king of cloaking device.

Beavers are normally very observant and they are tough to get close to.

Very nice action shots. I really like the second one. Nice catch.

Thanks zoomn, I'm really pleased to hear your comments as I agree fully with your personal experiences with this animal. I've never been able to get close enough or in the right light to capture it reasonably. I was happy with this capture and thank you for the compliment, especially on this subject.

Very neat Norm, I love beavers

Has he seen you somewhere along the line ? If yes , I'm sure you heard that famous "flack" noise with his tail showing his disaproval of you being too close.
