You caught a great moment for that Brown Pelican, NHL! What camera, lens, focal length, exposure - you know, all the info, for this shot? How far from the bird? Getting that info helps me to understand what I would need for taking pictures like this.

Actually I was on the beach having fun with the kids during July 4th week when there's a feast happening on the horizon... I didn't have my Bigma that day but carried the 2x TC just in case:

o Canon 10D, Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 + 2xTC (400mm, 1/750s @ f/6.3).

... You basically pick a bird then follow it down! BTW I managed to get a dolphin too (circled): :-)
