This was taken about 3 minutes from my house,,,funny story really,,was in the bath wondering how to get the right lighting and looked out the window and decided good side lighting before dark would work the best,,,,,it was about 7:00,,,,so i jumped out of the bath,,,ran by the wife and drove to the nest fast,,,had only about 20 minutes good lighting at the angle i wanted,,,this was taken at 380mm with the DX6490...he was about 30 feet up and i was about 25 feet from the tree base...

Blimey, Brian's strayed from the Kodak forum.

Are you going to show off the others as well.

Mind you don't get lost out here.

Good catch! Plus you get points for being so dedicated that you didn't finish your bath!!! :-)

Is that another eagle just to the left of the one in full view?

great shots. I always hope that one day i will catch a shot of a couple of wedgetail eagles I see on my job run out into the wheat belt. There are a pair out there who I'd love a shot of. One time one was standing in the middle of the road. At first i thought it was a man standing there until I saw the huge wing span and it flew off.
