Default Dragonfly #2

My thanks to Klaus for his advice on this one.



Common Darter, Musselburgh, 29 September 2002.

Photograph taken using a Nikon Coolpix 4500 through a Leica APO Televid scope with 32WW eyepiece. Range about 20ft.

Very nice shot. I haven't come across that color dragon before.

What is it standing on? The background is a mystery to me.

Thank-you ! The backgrond material is the concrete facing of the entrance to one of the hides at Musselburgh nature reserve. It's south facing and at this time of year the Dragonfly go onto it to get warmed up.

I've re-worked this image at http://www.pbase.com/image/5465480 and I'd appreciate your "better or worse" view.
