Yep, I'm just loving what you're doing with that new camera of yours, Norm. The first picture is terrific - love the colors in those wing feathers and the way you've caught those three with their wings in different stages of flapping.

In the third shot, well, that's a whole lot of waterfowl! Now how much mess do you think that number of birds leaves behind them?

This group is making a stop-over on it's way down south. I hope I didn't disturb them too much. I visited the group once and that will probably be enough since I didn't feel great about causing them to take-off from their stop-over location. But I just had to do it once.

Don't feel too bad about making the flock fly off. They usually just circle around in a wide circle and then come on back in.

Thanks bobby, it was a blast with all of those birds fluttering about. PS - I cloned out the telephone pole in the background because it was bugging me immensely.

nice shots, I like the first one a lot. I think a blue sky makes the photos appear much better.

Nice series of pictures.

I like them all but the first is my favorite. The birds look so sharp and clean against the blue sky.

Thanks zoomn, the blue sky background seems to work nicely in this particular photo. Often a clear blue sky, to me, is a bit too sterile but it seems to suit this shot nicely.

Great shots Normcar, I can sense that you are a little sad about the upcomming loss of your birds for the winter. I like that first one also, it seems like they are flying away from you for the winter, so I give you one to pull out in March to prepare for their return. Hope you don't mind, I haven't kept the pic.
