Hello, All;

Today was a windy day at the lake. I was enjoying myself taking pictures of seagulls, which were hovering almost motionless in the breeze (until I pointed my camera at them ) All of a sudden, from the other direction, a flock of Canada Geese flew right overhead. I just had time to get a couple of quick shots before they were gone. I love these birds.

Regards,

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada

Nearby, just flirting with the treetops was a turkey vulture. Every once in a while, it would fly into some clear air. I grabbed this shot of him before he took off for good.

I like the second shot the best, the bird is pretty sharp in it. Ive never seen or heard of a turkey vulture:-)

Hi Julie;

Turkey vultures are fairly common around here. Sometimes you'll see them just skimming the tops of trees, or maybe tiny specks of them hundreds of feet in the air. They're kind of grotesque, but fascinating at the same time.
