Home, home on the range ...... just a few critters from a ranch near Gunnison, Colorado.
I wasn't sure whether these should be in wildlife or other, but since no Buffalo
are truly "domisticated" I thought they might belong here. They were enjoying
a brief respite from heavy snows and the photographer was enjoying their
rugged and hardy appearance against the equally rugged Sangre de Cristo
mountain range.

This is a great shot, and a wonderful landscape. I'm glad you chose to get a larger DOF, because this shot wouldn't be the same with a blurred backgroung.

Thanks! These big shaggy buffalo make really interesting subjects if you can get close enough without getting them upset :-)

There is so much that is great about this shot. The buffalo (bison?) in the foreground are a great shot by themselves, but the mountains behind are epic and the sky equally stunning too.

Great work.

Hi Lin

Really a GREAT shot, reminds me of the western movies we saw as kids [I'm sure I saw John Wayne and Richard Widmark ducking behind a tree down there !!??]

Regards
