I just went through an unbelievable windstorm on my way to shoot a wedding for friendsin Edmonton today. It was brutal, signs flying through the air, it even cut power to a quarter of Edmonton (and this just happened to be the area where I was shooting the wedding). I'd never seen anything like it...that is, until I got here to this string.

I sincerely appreciate your intention Pierre and thank you for your kind comments about my photographs.

Just to put things in proper perspective, I don't mind when myfavorite critic,Vito, comments on my work, either positively or negatively. In fact, I've learned a thing or two from the "V" man over the months. This has all been a little misunderstanding with good intentions on all sides.

Merry Christmas to all and seasons greetings from the Christmas Chickadee :-)

I appreciate you dropping by for a look fullload, this is a good place to learn and share. I've certainly learned most of what I now know listening to and watching past and present posters here. I hope you hang in here for a bit and share some of your own stuff.

Great action shots!! Timing is great on them! I know how difficult it is to
get action photos of any of the little birds is. I have plenty of photos
of empty branches, grass, etc. I especially like #3 because it freezes the pre-flight
dynamics. I like #7 because it reminds me of a WW2 dive bomber!

Thanks woodmeister, that's exactly why I liked the last one myself...dive bombing.

Yes, very nice series, Normcar

Just curious...when you shoot in manual mode, is this with your FZ20 plus an Accessory Lens?

Thanks in advance :-)

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think these are taken by 1DMk2. Would be too tough to get these with 10D, so no chance with FZ20.

Right you are, Bobby. These were taken with a Mark II and 300/F4 with 1.4x converter. I sold my FZ10 a couple of months ago to help fund the purchase of a 200/F1.8 lens. I seem to be exclusively Canon now but would use anything if it produced good photos. :-)

Thanks for dropping by for a peek digicamfan
