Default SDWAP page is up

I've put up a page with 30 shots from the Wild Animal Park... the page will take a little while to load due to the number of fairly-dense thumbnails but I think you'll find it worth the time. I hope you enjoy it!

Default Impressive collection Ron!

I love that baby egret! I recognize some of these guys from my trip - I think I shot the same starling - got one of him striding out!

Really nice job - I can't wait to get back there and get a few more shots... Love those vultures!

Default Thanks Lin & Christie! :^)

It's a great place to shoot. You would really have to mess up not to come back with some good shots there.

BTW, there are a lot of mammals there too... I just didn't shoot all that many this trip.

You have a lot of magazine covers there Ron, Iíll go for the hooter.
Is this place fenced in and how do the keep the birds from flying away?

There are some fences (e.g. the hooter), but for the most part the environment is open... the birds just want to be there. They have a large number of wild fly-ins and a lot of birds go there to mate and raise young. It's a truly neat place for both birds and people
