This mornings visitors to my bird bath. Im going to move the white shell, it makes it hard to get a good contrast. I was not willing to scare them off today just to move it.

Honey-eater waits patiently for the dove to have a bath

checking out the area first

AHHHHH

A silver-eye has spotted the bath

He moves down for a closer look

The honey-eater has finished but has chosen to drip dry:-)

Interesting how a slightly different angle and viewpoint on a single subject can entirely alter a mood: the first photo from a distance of the honey eater in subservience, then the last shot, worm's eye view, transforming the same subject into a force to be reakoned with.

Fun shots

The funny thing is that the honey eaters usually boss the doves around and the little silver eyes run rings around the whole lot of them, the birds end up moving when the Silver eyes come in as they tend to flock in large groups and they can be very loud. Oh Goodness Im becoming a bird nerd:-)

Neat shots of a couple pretty neat looking birds!!!

On many birds, the angle can change the whole mood of the shot. I've got
several series where a bird will look cute and cuddly, and at another angle
will remind me of Joe Pesche in Goodfellas.
