Very nice clean and clear shots with a magnificent background setting. I'm attracted to the flight poses of the middle and far right birds. The birds seem nice and sharp with action frozen still. Very effective.

There was a guy feeding them just to my right ....so instead of shooting up in the air to try and catch some ...I composed a landcape shot close to where they were flying around ...and shot a few bursts when I saw some action in the frame ....I kinda let them come to me instead of chasing them in the air. This next shot shows a bit more of the location ...and thefeeder guys bike leaning up against the tree.To get the first shot I just moved around a little to keep the frame as clean as possible

Great example of the potential of zone focusing.

When I first looked at your first posted picture my mind immediately went to scenes from the 1960's Hitchcock movie, The Birds!

Nice capture of birds "doing their thing". Downtown Vancouver seems so pretty in the background of the second image!

This is a nice interesting picture. Although I must say...it looks like a painting...well, the colours etc look like paint colours.

Paint colors huh ???......never thought of it that way ..... now if I had Paint mode on my D70 I think I'd be dialling it in often lol !...... we do get a lot of interesting colors in this area ...especially when you have contrasts in water and mountains and clouds...and low sun. Here's a couple of shots to show what I mean ( not wildlife) but its in the same area where I photographed the birds.
