I caught this shot of what I think is either a "Thornbill" of some sort or a young "willy wag tail" down at the wetland area near my home today. I'm really pleased with this new lens and even happier that I paid about the half price of what I'd have paid for it new. These have had no adjustments other than cropping and neat image. I'm amazed that I don't have to saturate or contrast the photos. The bird was up high in the tree so I could not get quite close as i wanted, the sky sure came out blue but then it was a really fine day today.

Nice shots Lady, that lense is working for you already. Did you use a polarizer, the sky looks so blue? Really nice.

No, no polarizer, no adjustments in PS, just cropped and neat image. I cant believe how rich the color come out with this lens, I was expecting an improvement over the other one but not by this much, saves me heaps of time editing in photoshop so Im happy.

More sharp and contrasty photos from your new purchase, great job. Had you gotten around to the other side of that bird you might have been able to reduce some of those shadow areas in the lower extremities. Then again, by the time you moved the bird may have disappeared and you would have gotten nothing.

Your lens here is definitely an improvement. Congrats!
