I saw one on an electricity pole on a small road on way to my local park. I had to shoot with engine running. He was very co-operative to let me take 20-30 shots before another car came from the other side and he flew off.

I will post more as I process them.

BTW - I used my 1.4x TC on the 100-400L for this shot. ALl hand held with car engine running.

Oh yeah,
That's a nice shot. Great intensity in that face. It looks like he's wearing a coat. Nice job with a running engine.

Great work Bobby. It looks to me like the 1.4x TC is working fine for you. Is it the Canon TC? I printed the lens list on the Canon site and it says that the 1.4xTC will not autofocus with the 100-400L. I was planning on getting both of these. Is there anything I should know!!!!!!

Nice shot Bobb. You got this one working for you. How do you like the 100/499. That's on my wish list.

I am very happy with it. Once in a while I want to go get the 400f5.6 but so far, it seems I have a good copy of 100-400L. I do get error 00, you have to remove the battery and put it back in to fix the problem. Maybe I should send to canon but they may take a while and I can't do anything in mean time.
