Here are a few shots of mature, and immature Bald Eagles. They were taken around the Fraser River area, inland from Vancouver, British Columbia. These birds spend winters around here, feeding on the dead salmon after spawning, and then live fish and waterfowl. Several pairs nest locally. All my shots were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 8800 set at 10X zoom and hand held.

The blood on junior's lower bill was from the duck he was enjoying before my dogs surpised him by the river.

Hey, thanks for sharing Steve, must be a real treat having these great birds as neighbors. You here share some very good photographs of the eagle, especially the first one which is slightly closer. Great color andexcellent sharpness onthe greater partof the bird.
