I chased this little willy wag tail for over half an hour in my yard. He knew I was there all the time and was taunting me. I finally got these three shots, not the greatest but I really love the bug heading for his mouth in the second shot, determined little bird:-)

He was diving for a moth here

And finally it looked as if one was coming the right way, now if he could just open his mouth a little wider:-)chose to do these in sepia as the white sky washed everything out too much.

and here is the only one I got close enough to keep in color but he was not obliging with showing his face

Love the bug shot! That is great timing! All are good. In the third shot, I hope the bird doesn't have gas problems.

Thanks!

I love your little experiments in capturing flight shots, Julie. That second image is quite good actually, especially in freezing a very interesting moment in time.

Hehe - nice butt shot in that third one...

Great timing on that second shot. It's not often you see a photo of a bird
pouncing on it's prey in mid-flight.

Nice job! I love the bug shot, too, but it is neat how you were able toget in at an angle next to that thing the bird is sitting on and still get a good shot.
