A Yellow rumped Warbler (yellow throated, necked, bellied whatever)

A close crop of the same bird

A Black Duck complaining

A close up of the same duck giving me a piece of its mind.

Very good load time on a dialup line.

Very nice detail on #2.

I think #3 is saying ... "Affleck"

Thanks!

I'm working on it and this is thanks to the feedback I've been getting here.

Now of course I'm going to have to redo my home page, which has 650 bird shots...:?:

#2 is a really nice shot, but it could benefit from a little noise reduction applied just to the background, imo.

Keep up the good work!

The top one is a great shot, Dave, nice work. I like your crop decision as well, just a hint of bud on the end of the twig to close off the left side.

I like yellow rumps a lot, thanks for posting.
Yes, this loaded very quickly.

I usually don't post more than 3 or so pictures in a thread and try to keep them under 125K. Often going much smaller if I don't see the difference.

Really nice shot of the warbler. Can't wait for them to start showing up here.
When I JPEG the files for web, I usually set for a file size of 100k, give or take.
It seems to be a descent balance between quality and download speed.
As a side note, I think birds are starting to come back. Yesterday I spotted
a flock of probably 20 to 25 Red-winged Blackbirds.
