Ducks are coming back to this area, which is great to see. This one below spooked when it saw me as it was landing, then it bolted.

Landing and seeing me at the same time

One more

I welcome them all back to the north country with open arms! It's been a real drag around here without them.

Glad to see you have the ducks back Norm. The series from start to finish is great. But I think the last one is my favorite.

Cheers

Thanks Houston, by the way, these are the male and female Common Goldeneye. Pretty birds and I love seeing them.

These are very nice to see...whats the story with the eyes? I have seen some odd eye in some bird shots of mine, but I was using flash then. Best regards, thanks...

Great action capture in the first, looks like he's walking on water. I like the way you caught the guy in the second and third with his wings up and the down. Awesome shots!

Hi Kenneth, the eyes of this bird are indeed a sight to behold, and that's one of the attractions to me. I also love the way they fly; they are extremely quick with the wings going like a hummer.

Thanks mullen, it's a real nice treat to be able to actually see birds coming back and when the water opens up more it should be even better.
