Loads of geese are on the move nearby. Here are a few shots from today. It was slightly windy but the blue sky held out for the most part. Haven't seen so much blue in months and it's real nice for a change.

From head on

Close formation

Pairs

Sychronized flight (actually two photos put together because each photo had birds whose wings were perfectly in sync)

Really good in flight shots Norm. Nice job combining photos on the last one. The catch on the first shot is cool. The open mouth and the and the
way the wings were caught makes it look almost like he's saying, "Get your
butts moving!!"

You know it's shots like these of "common birds," that demonstrate why a "cliche" can still be true.

Beautiful shots, that make photographing these guys worthwhile.

Beautiful. Shots like these are what I'm shooting for and what keeps me so inspired. Great work Norm.

Thanks wm, I appreciate you commenting on my clone photo as well as I wasn't sure how it would look to others. And those geese butts are all moving these days, which is nice.

Thanks Dave, they are a fun bird to watch and they give one a bit of a chance to get a photograph which is also kind of nice.

Thanks Houston, you'll get your goose, I'm sure of it. How is that raptor shoot practice coming along?
