ally nasty day in the rain. This heron speared a nicecrappie.

Taken at iso 1600.



Here he is standing on a rock a few minutes later.

Nice overall clarity, considering the conditions. I like the moderate DOF - just slightly out of focus in the background.

Hi zoomn, must be nice to have a resident heron to watch all day long. Love these shots, color is excellent and sharpness and detail are to die for. Beautiful work. By the way, I have my new/old Sigma 50-500 and it's just like a lost child returning to daddy. I look forward to playing with it over the spring and summer.

Very nice pics. When I saw the ISO was 1600 I was expecting a bit more noise, but no. Great colors and pleasing DOF. I've got to do some traveling to find a Great Blue. Thanks for sharing...look forward to more. Woody

Very nice #1, considering 1600 ISO. I think it will look better in print. Nice colors.
