nice shots, I see a lot of these on my travels out into the wheat belt, they are a nuisance to the farmers but Oh so pretty in a flock.

Thank you Alady. As you can see from the Exif,I am usingmynewKonica Minolta Z20 which has 8 x opitcal zoom, allowing me to get a bit closer when I need to.

We used to have a flock of 40 to 50 of the Galahs visiting our garden, but they have dwindled in numbers since the Rainbow Lorikeets took over.

They are quite aggressive to other birds even if they are much larger.

Yes I know, Ive seen them in action, I also owned one as a pet once but he was a sweety.:-)

Yes they are beautiful and extremely entertaining but, they can be so noisy. Just unbelievable at times.
