Its getting late and I have dial up so I want post but two this time. I have plenty more for the next few days taken on my last week-end excursion. All were taken with the DRebel and 100-400L and all were hand held.

Red Wing - ISO 200, 1/60th, F5.6 at 400mm - Resized, levels, FM, NR and just a tad of cloning.

I need an identity for this one. I've been looking thru my book but haven't found him yet. Anyone...........

ISO 200, 1/50th, F5.6 at 400mm - Cropped a tad, resized, levels, FM, USM, sharpened the eye a little and NR.

Hi Houston, real nice shots of the Red Winged Blackbird and probably his wife, Mrs. Red Winged Blackbird. The female's coloration is quite a bit different. By the looks of the body and the bill that would be my amateur guess.

Again, great shooting.

I agree with normcar, the 2nd one is the female black bird.
