That's a winner Frances - also might be tailor made for a PhotoShop gaussian blur on the background to take the small amount of ISO 400 noise out.

I think in this case - better than Neat Image since the backdrop is clean and you can use the blur tool with a clean edge brush to get right to the edges without sacrificing any quality.

Really nice composition...

Thanks Lin for the tip...great indeed. I hardly use N.E with the D30 but yes a little
gaussian blur will help.
It was close to 7.pm and F4 is not fast enough, but got the shot.

How did you manage to sneak up on that Egret, even with your 70-200 you had to be close?
Nice shot, how are the sunny islands doing?

from inside my car at a gas station.
Gas Station has a large grass area, the sucker was hunting for chameleons...
