Thanks for the information. I was thinking of buying the same lens or perhaps a Sigma 100 - 300 F4 lens. Would you recommend the Canon? Any regrets? Any suggestions on other lenses?

Thanks for your help.

I got this lens second hand on Ebay and I got a good one, Ive heard other opinions but I love the lens, the only thing about it I don't like is that the zoom slides out when it hangs around my neck and is pointing towards the ground, this was not the case when I got it, I dropped the lens on concrete and it loosened it a testimony to it's strength. I have no regrets, even when I first got it people could see the difference in my photos from the previous lens.

Ive heard the sigma is a very good lens.

Im collecting Canon EF lenses so I don't know much about other brands
