Almost all the Winter residents of Brooklyn have left, with the exception of the Brants. They, who actually breed in the arctic, don't leave until mid May...

very cool....

they remind me of fighter planes in formation - especially the second pic

soon i will be moving from FL to CT so I hope some interesting wildlife will await me =)

There is a lot of great wildlife in CT. You are closer than me to Cape May NJ, which is one of the best birding posts on the entire east coast.

There are also some decent opportunities for shore birds (they often fly directly from Mass down to NJ) but some water birds like Eiders are on the RI and CT coasts. There is also a good wintering Bald Eagle Population in in CT. I'm sure you'll do well there.

I've never seen Brant before, so its nice to get a good look at them. Nice job catching them in flight.

AHHHHHHHHHHGGGGHHHHHHH!

The Brant is strictly a coastal bird, and I do believe some of them winter off the Conn shore, although of coure these were in Brooklyn...

These are not such hot pictures, while the images I posted of the Oystercatchers in flight are much better and totallly ignored!!!!:?:
