Curious little fellow dropped by while I was photographing an Osprey nest (will post photos sometime) so I decided to share his visit with you:

Hmm, what's that crazy looking creature doing over there?

Great series on these Porcupines (I'm assuming thats what they are as I've never seen one either except in pictures) and also very good captures.

Thanks bobby, mullen and alady. Glad you took the time to have a look.

Houston, this is a tiny muskrat, not a porcupine. The porcupine is larger and I'm not certain but I doubt that it would be caught dead swimming in a pool of water. I'm probably wrong on that but have never seen one swimming :G
