From Ed R Levin park. Taken today evening using 10D and 100-400L IS. hand held.





Other settings ISO200, F6.3, 1/800, Av mode.

My first clear shot of these guys. Most of the time, they hang out high up on the tree tops.

Yep, that's my experience too, they are always way up there. Nice capture of a difficult bird to get a shot at, bobby.

What a pretty bird and nice catch. I like the yellow stuff on the branch, kind
of complements the color theme of the bird

Thanks everyone. This is the only shot after trying so many times. Wish I had a smaller f-stop for more DOF and the branchin front ofthe right feet wasn't there.

Nice catch Bobbyz. These are such pretty birds and very hard to get a clean photo of.

I tried all last summer and did not get any half this good. Nice!
