Thanks glad you liked the pics.

I am certainly not disputing the statement that it could be oversharpened, I did way more than I normally would because it appeared to be taking it ok. That is why I need to learn how to really tell. I usually look for a change to the texture or a brightening in the feathers or a halo around the bird. I didn't notice any on these which is why I am asking what aspects lead you to the conclusion that it is oversharpened. I still don't see any halo even after you pointed them out. I will have to play with this photo some tonight at home and try to learn how to see these things you have pointed out.
